More about the Deep Injection Wells 3 &4 Pump Station Project and the Ocean Outfall Legislation (OOL): The OOL requires utilities in Southeast Florida to eliminate the normal use of the ocean outfall to discharge high quality wastewater effluent by the end of 2025. As part of the City’s OOL compliance plan, construction of two additional Deep Injection Wells was recently completed at the SRWWTP. Currently, the City is building  a pump station and electrical buildings associated with these new wells. Completion of this project is estimated by December 2024.
