Establishing New Utility Service

First, determine if your address is served by the City of Hollywood Public Utilities by calling customer service at 954-921-3938. Some Hollywood addresses are in the Broward or Davie service areas.  These properties may receive water service from one utility provider and sewer from another.

New utility accounts can be opened in person at City Hall, 2600 Hollywood Blvd, Room 103. Requirements include: 

  • Executed lease copy (if renting) or closing documents (if new property owner)
  • State issued photo ID
  • Deposit. The City's Municipal Ordinance requires all new customers to prepay their deposit.

Out of State or Cannot Stop By

The Utility Service Application and Temporary Meter Application can be printed and mailed with the appropriate documentation and deposit as described above to:

Deposit Policy

Customers are required to pay a deposit for utility service upon opening a utility account. View the deposit rate sheet to determine your deposit amount.  The City pays interest on your deposit annually. Deposits are refunded only when the utility account is closed at which time the deposit will be applied toward any outstanding balance prior to refund issuance.
